2D CAD in the browser, for drawings you already have

TrimCAD opens the DXF and DWG files on your disk and lets you work on them where you are — no install, no account, no upload. Real drafting tools, an AutoCAD-style command line, and it keeps working with the network off.

What it opens

• DXF — read and write, including blocks, hatches, dimensions, text styles and paper-space layouts.
• DWG — imported and converted for editing; the things it cannot read are reported rather than silently dropped.

What you can do

• Draw and edit lines, polylines, arcs, circles, splines, hatches, text and dimensions.
• Type commands the way you already do: LINE, OFFSET, TRIM, HATCH.
• Snap to endpoints, midpoints, centres, intersections and grid.
• Dimension in millimetres, group edits into one undo, and plot to paper sizes.

Why it is different

Most online CAD viewers show you a picture. TrimCAD is an editor: it works with the model, keeps your layers and blocks intact, and tells you honestly when part of a file could not be read instead of quietly dropping it. Nothing is uploaded — the file never leaves your machine.

Drafters checking a drawing away from their workstation, engineers reviewing a DWG a client sent, students learning CAD, and anyone who needs to open a drawing without a licence.
